Ghosts of the Valley: An experimental art exhibit
The past speaks to us. Sometimes in ways that are glaringly obvious, sometimes in ways that are subtle, and have to be listened to. A happy accident, or a dire consequence? For the answer to that, I will let history be the judge.
This piece explores colors and textures in against both and older noise paint (Mother, under noisepaint examples and one of my first uses of warp noise to do cool things with ai), and a new base image in Stable Diffusion that I haven't used before.
I wanted this exhibit to be weird, ethereal and uncanny while capturing a range of emotions and complex feelings. So it's comprised entirely of raw renders with no photo editing software beyond what was used to create the noise paint init image. I wanted it to embrace the broken incongruence of the medium.
I thought seriously about writing narration for this one, and I got them in an order that I think that would work in (not easy on artstation), but then I decided against it. I want this art to speak with its own voice. Broadly speaking, this collection focuses on the power of intention and chaos, much like the way it was constructed.
It is my sincerest hope that you enjoy it, laugh, cry, and feel unsettled.
I love you all.
