Intuition, automatism, and anti-process

The more I think about the process and what's happening in the method, the more I think the chaos of Dadaism is about using raw intuition to make art. Mental processes you don't have conscious visibility into. But it's not random, because human beings are incapable of random behavior.

And it's interesting how some of the processes there are synchronous, and some of them are not. It's more of a situation where you're doing something that's creating art, but you're not actively, methodically exercising control in the procedural front-brained sort of way.

It's more automatic writing than it is draftsmanship, I think. It's like typing while you're trying to hold a conversation. There's one of those two things that your brain is going to pay less attention to while you do it.

In falling tiles, or piles of papers, in made-up languages, in palettes of paint.

If something is a method beyond, "Okay, let's make some art," and nothing is the lack of that process, ironically, it becomes its own process. Maybe it's an anti-process.

Meaning is derived from process.
So the objective is to destroy meaning. Reason. Morality.

And to laugh at its own absurdity for doing it.

For being naturally non-linear.
