Working through Kinetic Painter again.
This is really interesting. I've always been an ambidextrous
painter. But paint brushes are such a fucking blight.
Single point paint surfaces are bad for your mind, and they let your brain go stale. That's why so many traditional artists these days are absolute morons.
When all you think about is a single linear point, your brain is going soft.
What I'm doing at the moment is working on the gestures system in MediaPipe, and the thing I'm noticing is what this seems to be doing to the muscle memory in my hands.
It's super interesting.
This isn't as easy as I thought it would be, and it's going to take some getting used to. But it's a net positive because the results are going to be extremely compelling.
And the system should accommodate whether your style is quiet or loud.
That shouldn't matter.
The fun part is that learning how to paint this particular way I'm envisioning is part of building it.
It's a kind of high precision voice driven finger painting.
I think this is going to work.
