Far as I can tell, this agentic framework I'm building is in an entirely new category. I looked, and there doesn't seem to be another app anywhere that thinks about AI this way, which strikes me as odd.
It's focused less on "assistants" than it is on building collaborators. Agents that learn, and understand your long running jokes.
I'm calling it the Woven Engine. I just finished the x14 build on the chat service yesterday. It works beautifully. It's this really familiar kind of poetry, I think. The use case will seem obvious in hindsight. But the unit testing did show me that I still have work on the note taking, file management, and memory services to complete.
The real innovation on x14, is how easy it is to integrate API services. I did something new this time. Used an event bus architecture, and the openai tooling interfaces for broad compatibility. So no mutant tag system in this one ha ha!
The build is one of the most complex things I've ever created in 24 hours. Another reminder that software engineering isn't necessarily about the act of writing code, per se... so much as knowing how to solve the problem.
There are a billion ways this thing could have gone off the rails... it just didn't.
And, even though I now have the most powerful vibe coding tool ever developed (by a lot) on my hands, I don't think software engineering as an artform is going away.
I refuse to be cynical about this.
But the way we do it is changing.
Ah well.
Back to work.
See yall soon.
