Digital art has always felt too sanitary for me. It's not dirty enough. It's too polite. Too measured. The colors don't bleed hard enough, and even when they do drip, it feels unsatisfying. AI art is even more like this, at least in the happy path use case.
I think I want to create a painting app where the brush strokes are rendered against a game engine, like Unreal or Unity. Where my voice is the control panel, and all I see is the canvas in front of me.
Maybe what I really want, creatively, is something less clean.
I'm thinking I'll control everything with a segmentation AI that responds to my hand movements over a webcam, and a polite voice agent that behaves like a museum curator, but knows what I mean when I say "Alright buddy, let's murder this thing."
I think it would be as much fun as actually painting.
