Idle workers: automation that yields to humans

Concept: How does idle worker automation work?

Check this out.

So what you do is you set up a worker. A worker is an actor with visual processing capabilities that lives on a device. The worker can take control of the device. Tapping or clicking, or clicking to get where it needs to go.

It performs the task, using a multi-step process, and it knows how to begin and where to stop.

Now, think about the use case on your phone. Workers are handy, but what happens when you get an important phone call in the middle of a worker process where everything's open and your little guy is chugging away?

Well, what you do is restrict the worker to idle cycles, by listening to your phone or computer's use work state. Got an important phone call coming in? No problem. Answer it. Then, when you're done, let the phone go idle, and your worker continues... right where it left off.

Let it finish the task, return its set, and go back to sleep, and you've done it!

Fun, right?
