Radio echoes of a civilization

I feel like there's a lot of stories about aliens listening to the radio waves we send out into the universe, and watching our tv shows and music. Reconstructing them from the background radiation of so much cosmic noise.

But you know what I think? I think by the time anyone does see anything, they'll probably be more interested in what's going on with phones and Wi-Fi, it's so much more interesting.

All of that is sent over radio signals too.
Think about it.

The dense emotional drama of the thing. Everything from dull boring business calculations, to ddos attacks. Every impassioned blog post or angry email. Every social media entry, every intimate communication, every love letter to someone you just met.

Flying through the void for eternity.

It's a hell of a thing.

An echo of a civilization that's probably lost by the time it gets anywhere interesting.

That's the problem with the speed of light.
When you think about how much distance there is to cover, it's awfully slow.
