Recovering agent systems after a hard-drive failure

The new Codex is really impressing me.

A couple of months ago, there was a power surge in my apartment that took out two external hard drives and a desktop computer.

I was able to recover most of the project work I had on the drives, but the big thing, the huge complex piece of the project I've been working on for two years, that was totally finished and almost perfect, was... well, mostly gone.

Didn't notice it at all until last night when I was coordinating with my openclaw agent, to assemble all the pieces of the big project together. I had been putting it off.

Audited the code to find out that the agent wasn't telling me that we were missing 90% of the main component. But rather, it was just gluing pieces onto the chunk that was there and not telling me.

Went back through the recovery folder, and realized what had happened. So I called up Codex, told it what the difference between version 3 and version 4 of the component was, and had a fresh port in Python in about two hours.

It even contributed ideas, and noticed a couple of blind spots I missed last time around. It didn't even lecture me about how dangerous the app would be in the wrong hands.

I like Codex, but I usually hate the way it jumps straight into coding.

This time I needed it though.
I'm really proud of this system design.
