The work of unlearning the rules

What I like about Dada, as a philosophy, is how challenging it is. Practicing it actively, requires a lot of societal deprogramming about art, what art is, and what art means.

If you're an artist, some of it is very challenging. Breaking the emotional connection, learning to give up control, beginning to understand how chaos and deconstruction work.

The contemplation of capital N nothing. But if you can master it, you'll be free as an artist for the first fucking time in your life.
