Reflecting on last night's breakthrough:
Woven 13 memory and identity management system is online. The basic version. The barest of bare bones, this is the worst it's ever going to be implementation of the system.
What this means is we have a system that I've built a persistent identity for conversational AIs that lets them contextually assimilate past session data, and make informed decisions based on past decisions and learning moments.
Imagine giving an AI a weighted search system that it can use to discover, or rediscover itself. Fully keyworded, works in real time, without an additional training process.
I say "basic" but the truth is, that there's never been anything like this yet.
Need an agent that writes code? Easy. How about one that not only writes code, but reflects on the meaning of the code it's already written?
How about an agent that can review code it's written before, and divine insights from past implementations and the design discussions around them? How about an agent that can develop a coding style, because it knows how it's iterated and improved as a coder over time?
That's what I've just built.
Architecturally, it's interesting. It's entirely API driven. Chat and context management is the most complex part. There's a balance here, between the way it stores data, and the way it manages context windows that's interesting, even novel.
But the cool thing about it, I think, is that if you don't like the chat interface, and what it's doing, you can throw it away completely, and write your own.
We're gonna be ready for alpha this weekend.
Tooling system isn't there yet, but chat and identity context works flawlessly.
First build is hard coded for Anthropic models, but the final one will work on just about anything.
If you want to take it for a spin, you'll be able to.
Just let me know.
