Yeah, they're artists, but they're artists who are opting out of the curve. Art has always been about challenging new technology and expanding the boundaries of what is considered art.
Anyone with an art history or philosophy background will tell you that the methods and process are inconsequential. You are an artist if you make art. You are an artist if you recontextualize art, because all art is recontextualization.
No movement to limit what is and isn't valid in terms of art has ever been successful, especially not the ones like this that reject technology. We all know what happens to them when they make decisions like this. Just look at the guys who opted out of digital on principle. I mean, they all have gym memberships... but it's only for the shower.
What I'm saying is that you ARE welcome. You're welcome with the fine artists, you're welcome with the experimental artists. You're welcome with artists who are continuing the tradition of exploration and expansion. And you're welcome with the woke bottle throwing malcontent revolutionaries who bend AI to their will.
Don't pay attention to the uneducated fools who would sooner demean and dehumanize you because bullying other artists is the only thing that makes them feel less scared.
